How you can help Pricklebums

There are many ways you can help Pricklebums with its aim to

Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release

wild hedgehogs.

As well as the ideas below we are always looking for good sites where we can release hedgehogs. If you have a garden that is suitable then please get in touch - you might be able to help the hedgehogs return to their natural life.

Importantly you can

make your garden hedgehog friendly
talk to your neighbours and get them to make their garden hedgehog friendly
take extra care when driving in the dark as hedgehogs are often out and about on our roads

Display our road signs

We think that too many hedgehogs are killed on our roads - even here in Ludlow there are several casualties each year. If you are able to display one of specially designed road signs on your fence, gate, wall or private verge please collect one from the hedgehog hospital or email pricklebumshedgehogrescue@outlook.com and we can get one to you. If you are able to make a donation to cover the cost that would be appreciated.

Good Quality Hedgehog Care is expensive so we really appreciate any donation you are able to make

There are many ways to make a donation.

You can simply send a cheque made out to Pricklebums Hedgehog Rescue and post it to us at Quality Square, Ludlow SY8 1AR

There are many opportunities to help with the day to day running of the rescue centre and these vary throughout the year depending how many hedgehogs are being cared for at any given time.

Sometimes it's really busy and we need lots of people to keep the hogs clean and fed - at other times it's quieter.

We need people to help clean hedgehogs out and this is often a messy job.

We need people to help with supplies for the shelter - maybe you could be one of drivers or help ensure we have stocks of essential supplies.

Although they are small animals good quality hedgehog care is not cheap so if you can become part of our fund raising team we would love to hear from you.
